Orballada is a company which offers our services as a responsible travel agency. We have a strong commitment with ethical travel and offer you a real connection with the DNA of the destination.

This is the reason why, due to the mass tourism dynamic related to El Camino in Spain, nowadays Le Puy Camino in France is the only part of the Way of Saint James pilgrimage which fulfils our purpose.

The route is very well marked with red and white stripes. Le Puy Camino crosses the southern part of France and it goes through the most fascinating rural areas of the country.

About us

French official tour guide license

Besides a travel agency, we are official tour guides both in Spain (GA-1072) and France (CARTE Nº GC 2031009P). Also, we were born one of us in the very same Compostela, and the other one in a town located in the hearth of the Way of Saint James.

Moreover, our lives have been both emotionally and professionally linked with El Camino. So, as you can see it has something to do with us.

OUR TEAM

ADRIÁN

Orballada co-founder. Product Developer and Marketing Manager.

I was born in A Estrada, a town in Pontevedra where 3 different routes of the Camino de Santiago (Caminho da Geira e dos Arrieiros, Camino Miñoto Ribeiro, and Camino Sanabrés) go through it. I graduated in Political Science from the University of Santiago de Compostela, and in Business Management from the University of Porto.

I am both licensed French Tour Guide and from the Government of Aragon (Spain), and I have worked in different destinations such as Scotland, the Way of St. James, Budapest (Hungary) and Toulouse (France). I am passionate about hiking, swimming, the novels of Henning Mankell and Vázquez Montalbán, as well as cinema and independent music.

My connection with the Way of Saint James started since I was born, since I am originally from the city of  Santiago de Compostela. I graduated in Sociology from the University of A Coruña, and in Tourism from the University of Vigo.

I am a licensed Tour Guide of Galicia (Spain). I have lived in London, and in Bayonne (France), where I have worked for several years in the tourism industry. My passions are history, hiking and researching about the roots of Celtic culture.
